Self taught on guitar and drawing on such varied influences as Dave Matthews Band, Patty Griffin, Warren Haynes, Bela Fleck, Martin Sexton & Phish, Kimbo is a handwritten poem in a world of power point presentations. With a powerfully haunting voice, a unique rhythmic guitar style which avoids conventional chords, & evocative, thought provoking lyrics, her style is all her own.
Currently, Kimbo is hangin' with some solid musicians from Salt Lake. "I feel so good when I'm playing with these guys. Everything falls in to place so beautifully. They're fantastic and I'm lucky that I have the opportunity to create with them." Exploding onto the scene quickly has landed these members a spot at Utah Pride Festival 2012. They frequent local clubs and love pairing up with touring bands as they come through. They will continue to play, write, record and tour whenever the opportunities arise. Keep a close watch on their music...soon to be in a city near you.
"Spokes", Kimbo's debut album, was produced by Mark Hallman and released April 22, 2008 by Sunny Groves Music. "10.10 Session" Four Leaves Left first demo was produced by BoHo (aka Bruce) and was released in true demo form on October 16, 2011.
